Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Lead Global Supply Manager in Irvine, CA to drive strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and lifecycle management for vehicle programs. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Global Supply Management and requires autonomous, strategic thinking to ensure cost targets and timelines are met as Rivian

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 6+ years of procurement experience.
• End-to-end procurement lifecycles and commodity strategies for next-gen platforms.
• Expert user of SAP and analytical tools; identify should-cost opportunities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate conversations and gain buy-in.
• Proven ability to resolve complex problems with multiple stakeholders; risk mitigation.
• Operates autonomously, prioritizes complex workloads, acts as a cross-functional advisor.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: lead large projects with significant vehicle spend and drive bid processes.
• Systems & Process: use procurement systems and onboard/train new team members.
• Technical Understanding: manage drive unit commodity and identify risks.
• Negotiations: negotiate terms with limited legal involvement; use non-monetary tradeoffs.
• Supplier Management: maintain senior-level supplier relationships and accountability.
• Stakeholder Management: communicate risk and enable timely decisions.
• Project Management & Risk Mitigation: lead large projects and map/mitigate risks.
