Job summary

Advance Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to oversee sourcing, supplier relationships, negotiations, and inventory management for a manufacturing operation.

The role focuses on ensuring on-time delivery and optimized procurement processes. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree and have 10+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing, plus proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and strong analytical and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of purchasing procedures, contracts, and supplier management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Source materials, components, and outside services globally.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, and consolidation initiatives.
• Monitor inventory levels to balance customer requirements and cash flow.
• Develop purchasing reports, metrics, and analysis.
• Support strategic purchasing policies and procurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and provide guidance to junior purchasing staff.
