Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Global Supply Manager, Raw Materials (RAPTOR) to lead strategic supplier relationships and reduce cost for metallic materials across programs like Falcon, Dragon, Raptor, Starship and Starlink. You will drive end-to-end material sourcing, capacity planning and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or 10+ years in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Experience with raw material sourcing and global supplier management.
• Strong cost analysis and contract negotiation skills.
• - Ability to travel up to 50% including international travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply base supporting raw material for flight and development programs.
• Work in a cross-functional team environment with internal and external groups.
• Leverage forecasts to ensure capacity and quality for ramp-up.
• Guide internal procurement and engineering on manufacturability and cost reduction.
• Collaborate with engineering on design reviews and supplier roadmaps.
• Visit supplier facilities to assess capability and capacity.
• Monitor costs to adhere to budgets and develop should-cost models.
• Deliver best in class Total Cost Ownership.
• Install and optimize manufacturing capacity to ensure continuity of supply.
• Drive supplier continuous improvement and cost-saving programs.
• Negotiate contracts covering terms, pricing, IP and export compliance.
• Prepare RFx and issue purchase orders for programs.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
