Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a category inventory manager to oversee enterprise inventory across the network, developing replenishment strategies and SKU transitions. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain balance and optimize service levels.

Responsibilities include leveraging SAP and other systems for day-to-day inventory control, auditing master data, and coordinating with merchandising, demand planning, and finance on new product onboarding and promotions.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a BS/BA in a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related field.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Leverages SAP and other systems to execute day-to-day inventory control while achieving high fill rates and minimizing inventory days on hand.
• Monitors analytics and reports to prevent stockouts, minimize DOH, and expedite delivery to backorders.
• Develops and executes inventory strategies for new SKU introductions, discontinued SKUs, and seasonal requirements; audits master data for accuracy.
• Collaborates with Inventory Analytics, Merchandising, Demand Management, and Finance to align controls with business objectives.
• Manages supplier relations and coordinates import orders based on containerization requirements.
• Support onboarding of new products and retirement of old products in the demand planning process.
