Responsibilities

• Analyze business unit needs to mitigate supply risks.
• Evaluate new equipment suppliers using the quality system.
• Identify and develop new suppliers globally to lower costs.
• Negotiate terms, payment terms, and other financial terms with suppliers.
• Track supplier performance and lead recovery activities.
• Generate ERP buyer’s report and determine order priority.
• Coordinate order dates with management.
• Notify expeditor of urgent orders.
• Organize supplier meetings with engineers.
• Obtain competitive quotes for requisitions.
• Resolve PO and invoice discrepancies with finance.
• Initiate new supplier setup with finance.
• Inform finance of new ship-to locations.
• Process requisitions and forward to Purchasing Specialist.
• Advise project managers on delivery schedules.
• Provide updates on subcontractor performance and market trends to management.
