Job summary

The City of Goldsboro seeks an experienced IT Lead Systems Analyst for GIS to lead technical staff in delivering mission-critical GIS solutions. You will design geospatial systems, manage GIS infrastructure, and provide expert support for spatial data and applications using Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of full-time relevant GIS experience, including database administration and enterprise GIS management.
• Work experience may substitute for 30 semester hours of required education, with a maximum substitution of two (2) years.

Responsibilities

• Leads advanced GIS projects and collaborates with City staff.
• Develops and maintains GIS databases and spatial data design.
• Manages system integrations involving ESRI software, FME, and Asset Management Software.
• Maintains server and database configurations; executes change controls.
• Develops and troubleshoots ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online web services and apps.
• Provides GIS support across departments and maintains spatial databases with SQL Server.
• Writes scripts for routine data maintenance and automation.
• Coordinates data standards with City and external agencies.
• Trains users on GIS-related topics and assists with system administration.
