Job summary

The City of Georgetown is seeking an IT Lead Systems Analyst for GIS to lead advanced staff and drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of the City’s Geographic Information System and its integration with enterprise software.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to design geospatial solutions, manage GIS infrastructure, and provide expert-level support for spatial data and applications, using Esri ArcGIS and related tools in a complex municipal environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, IT, CS or related field.
Three (3) years of full-time GIS experience, including database administration and enterprise GIS management.
Work experience may substitute for 30 semester hours of required education, up to two years.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with GIS Supervisor on the most technical GIS projects and processes.
Develops and edits GIS databases including spatial data design and collection.
Leads and manages system integrations (ESRI software, FME, Asset Management Software).
Maintains server and database configurations and change controls.
Develops, maintains, and troubleshoots web services and applications using ArcGIS tools.
Provides technical support for GIS users across departments.
Writes scripts and processes for data maintenance and automation.
