Texas-New Mexico Power (TNMP) is seeking a GIS Database Admin to manage and maintain the organization's GIS database infrastructure. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Geology, Geography, or related field with 1–3 years related experience.
• Experience with ESRI GIS tools, ArcInfo and ArcView preferred.
• Strong analytical and cartographic skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administering the spatial data library, including data design, metadata, and maintenance.
• Assist with researching and evaluating GIS hardware and software.
• Maintain GIS applications in an integrated environment using MS SQL, Oracle, Windows, AML and Visual Basic.
• Assist with programs, tools, and user interfaces for GIS data management, analysis, map production, and enhancements to existing applications.
• Assist with utilizing GIS and CAD software to develop, convert, process, analyze and output geographic data.
• Design and generate cartographic products and perform basic analysis.
• Prioritize and schedule GIS projects.
• Establish standards and procedures for data management, GIS analysis, and map production.
• Post and reconcile GIS data between field applications and Enterprise Geodatabases.
• Monitor and update multiple geodatabases for organization.
