from an ABA-accredited school, a U.S. license, and 10+ years in-house leadership, preferably in insurance.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 10 years of in-house legal leadership, ideally as CLO/GC.
- Insurance industry experience required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Legal Department and manage outside counsel.
- Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
- Oversee governance, compliance, risk management, and regulatory programs.
- Provide strategic legal guidance to the CEO and Board.
- Draft, review, and negotiate major commercial agreements.
