Job summary

Vista Hill is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Friends of Vista Hill fundraising program, partnering with the CEO and board to set strategy and drive growth. The role oversees staff, volunteers, communications, and operations to deepen donor engagement and sustainable revenue in San Diego County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Progressive leadership in nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience working with boards and senior leadership.
• Knowledge of San Diego County philanthropic landscape preferred.
• Proficiency with donor management systems and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide mission-centered leadership and advance fundraising priorities.
• Develop and manage annual and multi-year fundraising plans with revenue goals and ROI measures.
• Partner with Vista Hill CEO and board to drive governance, strategy, and donor engagement.
• Oversee budget, cash flow, and reporting; communicate progress to leadership and the board.
• Manage grant strategy, proposals, and compliance with funders.
