Job summary

R+L Global Logistics seeks a Supply Chain Consultant in Ocala, FL to cultivate customer relationships, acquire new business, and design supply chain solutions aligned with client needs. The role requires strong communication, strategic thinking, and a client-focused approach to expand service adoption.

You will present services, quote proposals, and collaborate with Capacity Procurement to ensure service levels meet expectations, while conducting quarterly business reviews and in-person meetings

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ working knowledge in logistics and transportation industry, incl. third-party full truckload logistics management, supply chain, tradeshow setup, and final mile.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent education plus work experience.
• Strong team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and cultivate relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and complex environment while making timely decisions under pressure.
• Experience in multiple modes: dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized loads, refrigerated, intermodal.
• Familiarity with freight management software; McLeod and Cargowise a plus.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and develop new business.
• Cultivate relationships with existing customers to develop accounts to their fullest potential.
• Create and drive a business plan strategy that meets sales goals.
• Maintain knowledge of the company's services, internal resources, competitive strategies, and customer requirements.
• Present full range of services to customers to build a complete logistics solution.
• Build strong customer relationships and understand trends to develop solutions.
• Prepare quotes for new and existing partners to meet monthly and quarterly goals.
• Coordinate with Capacity Procurement to ensure loads are serviced as expected.
• Communicate with Capacity team and carriers about issues.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with existing customers.
• Hold face-to-face meetings to build relationships and introduce additional services.
