Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in transportation brokerage or logistics operations.
• Strong negotiation, margin management, and carrier sourcing skills.
• Proven analytical, financial acumen and decision-making ability.
• Proficient in TMS, Excel, and analytics/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and select carrier partners aligned with procurement standards.
• Approve and onboard carriers, ensuring compliance with qualification and risk requirements.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of carriers fitting the brokerage's profile.
• Manage carrier mix and capacity allocation to support profitability.
• Negotiate contracts and spot rates within defined margins.
• Own daily operational decisions regarding carrier assignments and margin optimization.
• Use data-driven insights on lane and rate trends to optimize carrier placement.
• Analyze lane performance, service failures, and carrier scorecards to improve service.
• Contribute to quarterly business reviews and performance analyses with carriers.
• Champion process improvements, automation tools, and continuous learning.
