Job summary

Atlas Logistics, a division of Atlas World Group, seeks a Freight Broker to manage mid-level operations, secure coverage, negotiate rates, and maintain carrier relationships. You will coordinate shipments, monitor progress, and optimize backhaul with the Strategic Transportation Group.

The role emphasizes data integrity in TMW/Atlas Net, strong communication with clients, and a focus on customer service to sustain Atlas Logistics’ competitive edge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics operations experience required.
• Knowledge of TL, LTL, and freight pricing structures.
• Strong carrier negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS), such as TMW.
• Proven ability to schedule, track, and manage shipments and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Strategically secure coverage for Atlas Logistics TL shipments with rate optimization.
• Maintain accurate data in systems like TMW and Atlas Net.
• Identify and engage new carriers/brokers for partnerships.
• Monitor shipment progress and communicate issues to clients.
• Collaborate with STG to strategize backhaul solutions and reduce deadhead.
