Job summary

IonQ, Inc. is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner (FP&A BP) to join a cross‑functional team forecasting, measuring, visualizing, and analyzing all financial aspects of the business.

You will partner with leaders across IonQ’s rapidly growing organization to shape the company’s trajectory and become a finance mentor within the broader team. You will work to forecast, budget, and report while aligning with IonQ’s mission to build the world’s best quantum computers, innovate

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, math, or a technical field (engineering, physics, etc.).
Minimum 3–7 years experience.
High degree of comfort with financial statements and Excel models.
Strong oral, written, and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

Support leaders across IonQ in decision-making with financial analysis to maximize long-term value.
Guide IonQ departments through strategic planning to identify opportunities.
Collaborate with department leaders to structure budgets and forecasts.
Contribute to the company-wide budget and spending controls.
Produce timely, accurate financial reports for stakeholders.
Serve as a financial strategist for cross-functional initiatives, including product definition and manufacturing.
Contribute to improvements in planning and reporting processes and systems.
Participate in investor relations and corporate development support as needed.
