Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Business Performance & Finance Advisor in Houston to partner with Operations, Development, Commercial, and Functional leaders. You will build financial models, scenarios, and strategic analyses to guide capital allocation and performance improvement, translating complex data into actionable recommendations that influence executive decisions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate financial and operational performance, driving faster, better decision making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in FP&A, business planning, finance, business performance, commercial analysis, strategy, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted business partner to Operations, Development, Commercial, and Functional leaders.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic, operational, and capital allocation decisions.
• Translate operational and financial performance into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities to improve business performance, competitiveness, and value creation.
• Utilize benchmarking and performance analysis to identify performance gaps and accelerate value capture opportunities.
• Support executive performance reviews, business planning processes, and strategic evaluations.
• Challenge assumptions, forecasts, and business plans through fact-based analysis and sound business judgment.
• Champion continuous improvement through simplification, standardization, and modernization of Finance processes.
• Leverage digital capabilities, advanced analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence to improve productivity, decision quality, and business performance.
• Support transformation initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and accelerate business results.
• Collaborate effectively across functions and organizational boundaries to influence outcomes and deliver business value.
