Job summary

Rent the Runway, Brooklyn-based fashion retailer, is seeking a data-driven FP&A professional to join the Inventory-focused team reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance. The role will develop and maintain complex models and partner with inventory planning, procurement and selling to drive profitability.

You will lead weekly performance analysis, present insights to C-suite stakeholders, and own the budgeting process for Inventory, including scenario planning and tracking monthly results

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or economics.
• 4+ years of finance and strategic analysis experience in investment banking, PE, equity research or FP&A.
• Strong financial analysis, Excel and model-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial drive and excellent communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, report on and provide strategic insights into business performance on a weekly cadence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with inventory planning, buying and selling teams to optimize ROI and profitability.
• Perform strategic analysis and modeling to inform revenue growth and procurement decisions.
• Present and interpret financial data to senior leadership and partners.
• Own FP&A budgeting for Inventory including annual review and monthly/quarterly actuals vs budget.
• Build scenario-based models linking drivers to financial outcomes.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment and meet high-priority deadlines.
• Analyze competitor performance and market trends.
• Assist in preparing materials for Earnings and Board meetings.
