Job summary

Chugach Electric Association is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis for the organization in Anchorage, Alaska. You will oversee the annual operating and capital budget process, develop long-range models for rate planning, and ensure regulatory reporting accuracy.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, strengthen internal controls, coordinate external filings, and mentor the financial planning staff while guiding strategic initiatives for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related; Master’s degree, CPA and/or CMA preferred.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, including supervisory, in budgeting, auditing, financial controls, regulatory or agency reporting; utility or union experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual corporate operating and capital budget process with timelines and coordination.
• Develop forecasts and long-range financial models to support decision-making and rate planning.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and management reports per policies.
• Conduct variance and trend analyses to identify drivers and recommend improvements.
• Manage external reporting deliverables including Audited FS, FERC filings, forecasts, and IRS Form 990.
• Monitor guidance, assess impacts to statements and disclosures, and prepare analyses for management.
• Improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting procedures for efficiency.
• Prepare presentation materials and present planning and performance information.
• Oversee internal controls and staff development; conduct performance reviews.
