Job summary

Rakuten Rewards in Mission, California is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of FP&A to lead our financial planning, forecasting, and analytics. The role requires hands-on modeling, long-range planning, and partnering with executive leadership to optimize resource allocation.

You will build and guide high-performing teams, deliver executive dashboards, and provide actionable insights to drive growth and profitability across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of FP&A processes: annual budgeting, long-range planning, and monthly forecasting.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing critical financial insights, variance analysis, and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, ROI, LTV) for strategic initiatives.
• Oversee preparation and presentation of financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
• Review contracts and proposals to assess financial implications and ensure alignment with budgets.
