Job summary

Rakuten International is seeking a Finance Manager to lead FP&A, drive forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial insights for the U.S. regional headquarters. The role partners with multiple functional teams, oversees month-end close, and delivers data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The position requires a strong hands-on finance professional with advanced modeling, Excel, and data tool skills, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration. Located in San Mateo, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Own weekly forecasts, monthly outlooks, annual budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Deliver income statement & cost analysis with variance vs budget, forecast, and prior year.
• Partner with accounting during month-end close to ensure GAAP alignment.
• Build and maintain financial models, KPIs, and dashboards for management reporting.
• Drive process improvements across forecasting, reporting, analytics, and systems.
