Job summary

Rakuten Rewards is seeking a Strategic Director of FP&A to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. The role partners with business leaders to deliver actionable variance analysis, robust dashboards, and KPI oversight that guide resource allocation and strategic decisions across the organization.

The candidate will drive revenue planning, collaborate with marketing analytics on LTV, and contribute to global planning including the Japan entity, in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• 7+ years in FP&A, with 2-3 years in leadership roles.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Adaptive, Tableau.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• lead annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
• partner with business unit leaders providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations
• oversee financial reporting, dashboards, and KPIs
• collaborate with marketing analytics on revenue and lifetime value analysis
• identify opportunities for financial improvement and risk mitigation
• contribute to revenue planning and support the Japan parent company
