Job summary

Human Rights Watch seeks a Director of FP&A and Grant Management to drive budgeting, forecasting and donor reporting across a multinational nonprofit. The role leads a team of seven FP&A and grants professionals, reporting to the CFO and partnering with senior leadership to deliver strategic financial insights.

You will oversee annual budgeting, multi-year planning and grant budgeting, while strengthening financial systems and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting in a complex nonprofit or multinational setting.
• Minimum five years managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience with donor-funded grants and restricted funding.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and translate financial data for non-financial audiences.
• Experience with ERP and BI tools; multi-currency experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning.
• Develop financial models and management reports for CFO and leadership.
• Ensure timely donor financial reporting and grant budgeting.
• Oversee financial systems enhancements and data-driven decision making.
• Mentor FP&A and Grants team and build cross-functional partnerships.
