Job summary

Capital Blue Cross is seeking an FP&A Financial Operations Business Partner in Harrisburg, PA for a hybrid role. The position combines financial planning and analysis with hands-on accounting support to help leaders understand results, plan budgets, and forecast performance.

You will support month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations while ensuring accurate coding and reporting. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2–4 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP/Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as finance partner to assigned business areas, providing financial guidance and analysis to support planning and decision-making.
• Partner with business leaders to develop departmental budgets and forecasts reflecting priorities and expenses.
• Review monthly results with business areas, explain budget-to-actual variances, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and financial evaluations of initiatives, resources, and process improvements.
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal controls; identify opportunities to improve reporting and data accuracy.
