Job summary

PSECU in Harrisburg seeks an FP&A Business Partner to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the lines of business. You will develop tools, drive planning cadence, and support strategic decisions as a trusted finance partner.

The role blends in-person collaboration with remote work, with a minimum 40% onsite presence and a schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. Ideal candidates have 4–6 years of FP&A or accounting experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

Responsibilities

• Planning & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and operating plans with lines of business; develop driver-based planning tools.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Report actual performance vs. plans; identify drivers and variances.
• Scenario Analysis: Conduct sensitivity and what-if analyses to assess financial impact.
• Business Case Review: Analyze ROI, NPV, IRR, cost savings, and revenue impact for business cases.
• Partnership & Collaboration: Act as trusted financial partner to explain insights for long-term plans.

Collaborates with the lines of business to drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, planning and financial analysis, and provide support to the lines of business for all financial analysis and planning related activities. Evaluates and analyzes business case requests and provides recommendations on how to proceed. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter. Develop and maintain tools to assist with driver-based planning. Partner with lines of business to prepare long-term financial forecasts to plan ahead for future contract renewals, software replacements, etc.* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reporting and analysis of actual performance compared to operating plans for line of business partners. Clearly articulate themes and performance drivers, and review with lines of business to ensure root causes of variances are understood. Make recommendations to enhance business performance and adjust forecasts as necessary.* Scenario Analysis: Perform sensitivity, scenario, and what-if analysis. Assess financial impact of changes to business operations, new business opportunities, or acquisitions.* Business Case Review: Prepare the financial analysis of business case requests and ad hoc analyses, to be used for decision making.
