Job summary

Ankura Office of the CFO is seeking a Director of FP&A / Corporate Finance to partner with clients across industries from its New York or Chicago offices, working in a hybrid model.

The role focuses on building planning, budgeting, forecasting models, and analytical packages with emphasis on data visualization and working capital optimization for diverse clients. Travel up to 70-80% and leadership of junior staff are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited 4-year college with concentration in finance, accounting or analytics.
• 5–8+ years in FP&A, corporate strategy, due diligence, restructuring, IB or private equity; 2–3 years client-facing consulting.
• Proficient in financial statement analysis, modeling and data analytics.
• CPA or GAAP expertise; other certifications (PMP, Six Sigma) preferred but not required.
• Modeling: 3-statement, long-range plan, 13-week cash flow.
• Data analytics and visualization with Alteryx, Tableau or Power BI.
• Familiar with ERP and BI tools (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, Workday; EPM like Hyperion, Anaplan, Planful, Adaptive Insights).
• Strong curiosity, problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel 70–80% and mentor junior staff.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ankura Quality of Finance: assess vision, operating model, processes and tech; design and implement execution plans.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: partner in long-range planning, budgeting, forecasting and scenario modeling.
• Reporting: design management packages with KPIs to drive financial goals.
• Data Analytics & Visualization: use analytics/tools to influence decisions with data-driven insights.
• Balance Sheet and Cash Flow: drive working capital improvements and transparent cash flow reporting.
• Transaction Preparation and Execution: support Day One readiness and transactions/integrations.
