Job summary

Flender is seeking an Assistant Controller / Senior Financial Analyst to join our Elgin, IL team on a full-time basis. This role partners with the Controller and business leadership to drive forecasting, budgeting, profitability improvement, and scalable financial processes.

The ideal candidate will leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, and process mining to uncover insights and improve decision-making, with a pathway to leadership within the finance organization.

Qualifications

• Strong finance background with FP&A and cost accounting experience.
• Ability to build financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
• Experience turning data into actionable business insights using analytics.
• Familiarity with process mining and automation tools to optimize workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted business partner to sales, operations, and leadership with financial insights for growth.
• Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles across the business segment.
• Develop scalable dashboards and reporting to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory trends, and variances to drive cost optimization.
• Provide actionable recommendations to executive management based on data insights.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and strengthen financial controls.
