Job summary

Flender Corporation USA is seeking an Assistant Controller / Senior Financial Analyst to join our Elgin, IL team. The role blends FP&A, manufacturing cost accounting, and data analytics to drive strategic decisions and operational efficiency.

You will partner with operations and leadership to forecast, budget, and implement process improvements using AI tools and automation, with a pathway to leadership in finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or controlling.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations, including standard costing and inventory accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA preferred. Proficiency in Python, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to finance and leadership teams with actionable insights.
• Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles with variance analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, BOM costing, and inventory trends for cost optimization.
• Develop analytics dashboards and models using AI tools and process mining platforms.
• Influence cross-functional teams and strengthen financial controls and processes.
