Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Draper, UT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Care Delivery organization. You will partner with technology and finance leadership to manage operating expense planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis across the OptumCare West Region.

This full-time role requires in-office presence three days a week and occasional overtime. You will lead forecasting, analyze variance, maintain models, and prepare executive dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or related finance role.
• Experience supporting operating expense budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into insights.
• Strong Excel skills with financial modeling and data analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, technology, and operations teams; in-office three days/week requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly and annual forecasting for IT operating expenses across cost centers.
• Analyze actual results vs budget and forecast; develop variance explanations.
• Maintain financial models and spend projections for software and tech services.
• Partner with IT and finance leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and savings.
• Track spending trends and support cost-center management.
• Prepare executive presentations and financial commentary.
