Job summary

CNA is seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Consultant to join the Business Unit FP&A Team in Chicago, IL, operating in a hybrid model. The role partners with Underwriting and Actuarial to deliver insights into P&L, drive top-line growth, manage expenses, and improve profitability.

Key duties include building forecast models, creating business cases, and leading special projects while coaching junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or business, or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years of finance experience or a related analytical field with progressively increasing levels of responsibility

Responsibilities

• Leverage financial expertise to recognize and resolve emerging issues, independently investigate anomalies and variances in data
• Influence decision-makers through effective verbal and written communication
• Extract or summarize key insights, clearly and concisely to communicate insights with actionable recommendations to senior leadership
• Manage multiple constituents and requests to build relationships and deliver maximum value to the organization
• Prepare business cases to support decision-making by identifying innovative strategies for revenue growth and cost reduction
• Develop forecast models based on comparative performance metrics and implement improvements as the business grows
• Drive process improvement and automation
• Lead special projects with minimal direction
• Coach, lead and develop less experienced analysts while fostering a positive, open team environment
