Job summary

Vanguard Charitable is seeking a Financial Analyst (FP&A) to help build a modern planning and analysis function. You will partner across Finance, Accounting, HR, Technology, and leadership to forecast, budget, model, and support strategic decisions.

The role turns data into actionable insights, supports resource allocation, measures investment returns, and links financial results to organizational priorities. Strong Excel and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field required.
• Minimum of two years of FP&A or related analytical experience required.
• Experience in nonprofit, financial services, wealth management, or donor-advised funds preferred.
• Experience with workforce planning and headcount modeling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts with financial models.
• Develop ROI, cost-benefit, and scenario analyses for initiatives.
• Produce executive- and board-level reporting packages and dashboards.
• Link staffing and compensation planning to organizational priorities.
• Improve processes, data quality, and reporting automation with Sage Intacct/Power BI.
