Job summary

Actionstep, a fast-growing SaaS company delivering Legal Practice Management software, is seeking a Strategic Finance Analyst to join the Finance team. You will own FP&A work, including forecasting, profitability, and pricing analysis, and support commission calculations across Sales, Partner, and Operations.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will build reliable models, automate recurring deliverables, and partner with RevOps and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
1–3 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience.
Strong Excel skills with advanced formulas and financial modeling.
Working knowledge of SQL and willingness to learn more.
Experience with SaaS or subscription businesses preferred.
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP; Power BI or data warehousing a plus.
Ability to present financial data clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

Support annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Perform budget-to-actual variance and profitability analyses.
Build financial models for scenario and sensitivity analyses, including AI tool support.
Contribute data and analyses to board and executive reporting materials.
Automate recurring deliverables such as commission calculations.
