Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead planning, evaluation and assessment of corporate initiatives and provide financial and analytical support to senior management and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years Finance and/or Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets.
• Intermediate level MS Excel skills for analyzing large data sets, vlookups/hlookups, creating pivot tables, filtering options, waterfall charts.

Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: To include forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Operational Initiatives: Work with GLM and LM to identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities.
• Month-End Closing: Include journal entries, variance explanations, and GL research to capture billing opportunities.
• Customer invoicing, revenue posting to GL, monitoring of monthly aging reports.
• Training: Provide financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures and financial tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Conduct operations audits and liaise with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
