Alarm.com is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team with a primary focus on supporting Alarm.com’s Commercial portfolio and related emerging businesses. You will partner with business leaders to understand performance, evaluate investments, and help allocate resources to maximize growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 2+ years of FP&A or analytical experience in a relevant field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance fundamentals.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as FP&A partner supporting Alarm.com’s Commercial portfolio and select emerging businesses.
• Develop understanding of revenue drivers, customer economics, costs, headcount, investments, and KPIs.
• Support monthly close and forecasting; analyze results and explain variances.
• Build and maintain financial models for revenue, expenses, headcount, capital investments, and commissions.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop annual and long-term operating and strategic plans.
• Support deal desk and pricing analysis, including profitability and investment considerations.
• Assist in sales commission planning and incentive program evaluation.
• Contribute to capital planning and ROI analyses.
• Identify trends and risks; translate data into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Accounting during monthly close to ensure accurate financials.
