Job summary

Sherpa | Recruiting, Staffing & Consulting in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join a newly-established team handling financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. You will work with large data sets to assess annual rates and cost allocations, guiding business sectors on financial impact and strategic decisions.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in financial analysis, strong Excel skills, and ability to build relationships across finance and operations. Power BI is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or related experience.
• Strong analytical skills with experience working with large data sets.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Power BI experience strongly preferred; SQL and accounting experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and reporting related to corporate support costs and annual rates.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, financial risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
• Evaluate annual rates and cost allocations to determine appropriate charges to business sectors.
• Partner with finance teams and internal stakeholders to provide financial analysis, answer questions, and communicate recommendations.
• Support contract compliance by analyzing contract terms, rate escalations, and financial obligations.
• Build and improve reporting, dashboards, and processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility into financial results.
• Help establish processes and reporting structure for the new team while supporting special projects and strategic initiatives.
