Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Strategic Analyst to translate multi-variable business problems into decision-grade tools, forecasts, and risk assessments. You will build durable, auditable models and dashboards for leadership across risk, financial forecasting, and operations, partnering with Operations and Finance to quantify uncertainty.

The role is fully onsite in Memphis, requiring relocation or residence in the Memphis area, and involves collaborating with senior leadership to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in statistical modeling, forecasting, risk analysis, or quantitative decision support.
• Experience building forecasting models, risk assessments, and analytical frameworks for business decisions.
• Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for financial/operational modeling.
• Experience with SQL and BI tools; Python or similar analytics tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and translate complex business problems into decision-grade tools and forecasts.
• Design, build, and validate risk-scoring tools using diverse inputs.
• Create reusable forecasting models for financial and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and senior leadership to communicate insights.
• Maintain transparency and auditability of models and data sources.
