Job summary

Performance Foodservice, part of Performance Food Group, seeks an Underwriter to review and approve credit terms for commercial customers. You will analyze financial data, assess credit applications, and ensure policy compliance to support the Opco Sales Force.

Responsibilities include financial reviews, credit report analysis, and preparing evaluations for senior leadership, working with Tax and Corporate teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, business or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of credit approval experience preferred in food service.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to groups.
• Foodservice/distribution experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Approve credit terms and credit limits for customers per policy.
• Review submitted Credit Applications for completeness and authorization.
• Review personal and business credit reports to determine creditworthiness.
• Request and analyze financial statements as needed for credit decisions.
• Conduct credit reference checks with major suppliers.
• Prepare Credit Evaluations and present findings to Senior Management.
• Collaborate with Tax and Credit teams on documentation and onboarding.
