Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) in Richmond, VA seeks a procurement professional to coordinate suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and establish long-term contracts for reliable, high-quality foodservice products.

Responsibilities include maintaining in-stock service levels, handling special orders, and collaborating with sales and operations to optimize supply, pricing, and vendor performance. Onsite four days a week with one remote day (subject to change).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years purchasing or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or supply chain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select vendors based on supply continuity, service levels, and market fit.
• Maintain vendor relationships by resolving invoicing, product, or delivery issues.
• Select products based on market fit, performance, and supply reliability.
• Negotiate prices and quantities per orders, EOQ, promotions, and warehousing.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure continuous supply.
• Support distribution centers during emergencies with rapid product delivery.
• Provide pricing information to sales and advise on pricing structures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
