Job summary

Amazon AIR is seeking a Flight Capacity Planner to own the development and optimization of flight capacity strategies across planning horizons, shaping how millions of packages move through our air network.

You will collaborate with leaders across Operations, Finance and Analytics, design network models, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership, balancing customer experience with cost and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced Excel skills with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• SQL experience for data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead flight schedule development across horizons with cross-functional units.
• Develop data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on network changes and capacity investments.
• Develop and optimize capacity plans and network strategy to improve CX, cost, and sustainability.
• Evaluate tradeoffs between customer needs and cost; build consensus with Finance, Operations, Process Engineering, and Procurement.
• Partner with Research Science and Technology to design next-generation planning tools.
• Analyze flight utilization, block hour efficiency, and network performance to identify opportunities.
• Monitor and manage capacity allocation aligning forecasts with constraints.
• Navigate ambiguity while coordinating multiple projects with ownership and accountability.
• Domestic travel up to 10%.
