Job summary

Valley Water seeks a seasoned Program Administrator – Fleet Management and Maintenance to lead the agencywide Fleet Management Program. You will steer lifecycle planning, vehicle acquisitions, and performance metrics to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations in Santa Clara County.

You will collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and regulators to advance fleet electrification, fuel alternatives, and technology-driven improvements, while upholding regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; substitution allowed with experience.
• California driver’s license required/ability to obtain.
• Experience planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing programs.
• Public agency or utility fleet management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and optimize Valley Water's fleet management program across the agency.
• Provide direction to staff and coordinate priorities with cross-functional teams.
• Develop long-range fleet lifecycle plans, vehicle replacement and acquisitions.
• Manage operating and capital budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
