Job summary

CTEC is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Management and Cost Analyst to join our team in McLean, VA. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for federal contracts, ensuring accurate tracking and data integrity across financial tools.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in financial management, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently yet collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in financial management, cost analysis, budgeting, or related field.
• Experience analyzing financial data and preparing management-level reports.
• Experience with financial data validation, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel including financial models, formulas, pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Support financial management, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with budget planning, tracking, and data management.
• Develop and maintain financial spreadsheets, dashboards, and trackers.
• Prepare financial reports, briefing materials, and presentations.
• Coordinate updates to financial management systems and tools.
