Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling at Buckley AFB, CO. The role involves one-on-one counseling, group workshops, and coordination with military leadership to ensure services stay within DoD scope.

You will educate, counsel, and refer service members and families on budgeting, debt management, and financial planning while adapting to in-person or virtual formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• May consider applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• If required by the contract, bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates and conducts Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Uses virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as needed.
