Job summary

Phoenix3 Collective is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across multiple entities in Waltham, MA. You will oversee close, reporting, controls, and systems while partnering with operations to drive performance.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in accounting with 3+ years in controller roles in hospitality, strong GAAP, and experience with Sage Intacct and NetSuite. Office-based role in Waltham.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting, including 3+ years as controller or assistant controller.
• Hospitality experience across hotels/restaurants/multi-unit food & beverage.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Experience closing multiple entities quickly.
• Proficient with hospitality systems (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, R365).

Responsibilities

• Manage AP/AR and end-to-end accounting for the organization.
• Own month-end close for all entities and locations; deliver accurate P&Ls and balance sheets.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting with variance commentary.
• Coordinate with external accountants on tax filings, sales and occupancy taxes, and 1099s.
• Maintain intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and fixed asset registers.
• Develop process improvements across all accounting functions.
