Job summary

Gateway Development Commission in New York City seeks a Financial Analyst to bolster the finance team, reporting to the Deputy CFO. The role supports operating and capital budgets, financial models, and reports to drive organizational decisions.

The analyst will manage complex data analyses, assist with grant compliance, and produce narratives for management. This position collaborates with staff to deliver timely financial insights for projects and funding programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/public administration/finance/accounting or closely related field.
• Four years of related professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of five years increasingly responsible experience conducting financial analyses.
• Experience with SAGE Financial ERP, or comparable financial ERP system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of budgets, including forecasts and variances of revenues and expenditures for assigned programs.
• Assist with the preparation of timely financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
• Analyze and maintain the Hudson Tunnel Project long term financial model with multiple funding sources and debt service.
• Assist with the preparation of financial documents to comply with requirements of government funding agencies.
• Use software applications to input requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices and analyze data for reports and presentations.
• Provide regular financial reports to support staff delivering projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
