Job summary

City of Maricopa is seeking a Business Analyst to oversee fiscal reporting, budgeting, and program analysis for multiple departments. The role focuses on cost controls, KPI development, and data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and transparency.

The analyst will prepare reports, support strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with reporting and grant requirements, working with department leaders across city services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field.
• At least 3 years of work experience in operational analysis, project management, finance, accounting, or auditing.
• Experience with ERP systems and data visualization/reporting tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, prepare, and monitor departmental budgets and operating costs.
• Gather, interpret financial and operational data to support initiatives.
• Develop reports and KPI dashboards for city leadership.
• Ensure external reporting needs and compliance requirements are met.
• Create summaries of analysis and provide recommendations.
