Job summary

The City of Seattle’s Finance and Administrative Services (FAS) invites applications for a Senior Management System Analyst. You will develop, implement, and maintain financial systems to support budget development and reporting needs.

You will maintain data, generate standard reports, and lead ad hoc reports to support business units and the budget process. Collaboration with budget analysts and stakeholders is essential to strengthen financial stewardship across the city.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or a related field.
• Three (3) years of experience in systems, operations, procedures, research, or analysis.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of system updates with developers and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
• Maintain budget systems, provide troubleshooting, upgrades, and staff training.
• Develop, validate, deliver, and maintain standard financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc reports across multiple systems.
• Perform high-level financial analyses including variance analysis and resource utilization.
• Ensure data integrity through monitoring, testing, and auditing of financial data.
• Collaborate with staff to identify reporting needs and provide timely, accurate reports.
