Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Finance Manager in Sacramento, CA, operating in a hybrid work model. The role partners with Procurement and Finance to turn data into actionable insights for strategic decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

You will challenge assumptions, quantify cost savings, and drive governance and reliable financial storytelling across the organization. The position emphasizes collaboration with functional leaders and continuous improvement in finance tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 610+ years of progressive finance experience, including business partnering, FP&A, or operational finance.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on strategic, operational, investment, and capital decisions.
• Assess risks, opportunities, trade-offs, ROI, and scenarios.
• Translate data into insights, explain variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and performance reviews.
• Promote governance, controls, and stronger finance acumen across the function.
• Mentor junior finance team members to strengthen finance capability and tools.
