Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Lead Finance Business Partner to deliver expert financial insight and drive strategic planning across a diverse portfolio of programmes. You will partner with senior leaders to challenge assumptions, support decisions and improve performance.

Role is 37 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements. You will need to obtain BPSS and SC clearance and have extensive experience in finance leadership and programme financing.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Extensive experience as Lead Finance Business Partner
• Experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance leadership
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
• Ability to translate financial info into business insight and present to senior management
• Must achieve and maintain BPSS and Security Clearance (SC)

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support and insights to programme and operational leadership teams
• Lead forecasting, budgeting and long‑term strategic planning across programmes and contracts
• Challen ge assumptions, drive performance improvements with senior stakeholders
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts and commentary to senior management
• Identify financial risks and opportunities and drive margin, profitability and cash performance
