Job summary

Notion is seeking a Strategic Finance Business Partner to support the AI team and other business functions from its San Francisco base. The role partners across Engineering and Product to sharpen visibility into financial performance, improve forecast accuracy, and evaluate investments in our product.

You’ll drive weekly cost reporting, monthly close activities, and collaborate with accounting, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate budgets and insightful analyses.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Corporate Finance experience.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting (budget vs. actuals).
• Data fluency and the ability to navigate complex datasets.
• Ability to move from detailed data to a clear point of view on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Comfortable partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Embed as a trusted financial partner within the AI team and broader business.
• Own weekly and monthly AI cost reporting end to end with clear spend visibility for executives.
• Deliver analyses to support strategic decisions with strong judgment and attention to detail.
• Support monthly close and reporting with accounting, vendor and PO tracking, and cost analyses.
• Partner with AI, Product, Data Science, Engineering to deliver accurate forecasts and budgets.
• Improve AI cost data reporting infrastructure and recurring workflows.
