Job summary

Harvard University FAS Human Resources is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Operations for HMS Graduate Education (OGE) to lead budget development, financial reporting, and daily financial administration for master's and PhD programs. You will partner with academic and administrative leaders, supervise the Finance Coordinator, and ensure strong internal controls and exemplary service.

This role supports enrollment, staffing, and program activity planning within a prestigious university

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• MBA or Master’s degree in relevant field appreciated.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations for HMS Graduate Education (OGE).
• Develop annual operating budgets in partnership with program leadership.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and monitor budget variances.
• Coordinate fiscal year-end close activities and ensure financial compliance.
• Supervise the Finance Coordinator and coach staff.
• Provide financial consultation to program leadership and partners.
