Job summary

Seneca is seeking a Business Operations Lead to run strategic finance, accounting, contracts, insurance, compliance, purchasing, payroll and benefits, and the office from our Sausalito site. The role reports to the CEO and will partner closely on strategic initiatives, including M&A and financings, with the opportunity to hire outside resources in the coming year.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance function including FP&A and accounting.
• Partner with teams to optimize cost and revenue as Seneca scales.
• Own the monthly close with the outside accounting firm.
• Manage inventory, BOMs, capex, fixed assets, and revenue recognition on multi-year contracts.
• Handle invoicing and collections, including milestone billing on government and utility contracts.
• Set expense policies and propose monthly budget; track to it.
• Maintain budget and board package.
