HappyRobot is hiring its first Strategic Finance & Business Operations hire to build the finance function from the ground up. The role splits 50/50 between strategic finance and project-based operations, reporting to the Head of Finance and collaborating with founders and leadership.

The candidate combines investment banking precision with startup scrappiness, capable of building a three-statement model and negotiating vendor contracts in the same week.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in investment banking, private equity, or consulting with startup exposure.
• Extensive financial modeling experience.
• Ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards and FP&A processes including annual planning and rolling forecasts.
• Support fundraising, investor relations, and strategic transactions with data-driven materials.
• Develop financial infrastructure to scale from Series B toward growth stage.
